Presentation: Accident Prevention in London since 1916: a brief look at the LRSC’s history
This talk will look back at the London Road Safety Council over its 100 year history and show what steps have been taken to improve safety in London since 1916. Drawing on the LRSC’s archives and using examples of material such as posters, the talk will focus on the use of education to try to persuade people to change their behaviour. It will also consider what we might learn from the past and how we might influence future road safety activities.
