LRSC Centenary Conference
In January 2017 the London Road Safety Council (formerly London Accident Prevention Council) will celebrate its centenary.
To mark the occasion LRSC is organising a one-day conference to briefly look back over the past 100 years, but then more importantly look at the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead for road safety professionals working in cities across the UK.
While the agenda is currently under development, topics under consideration include cycling, pedestrians, shared space schemes, P2W riders, 20mph schemes, HGVs, driverless cars and vehicle safety technology.
The intention is to touch on a wide range of topics, with presentations by academics and road safety professionals.
The conference is primarily intended for road safety and active travel professionals, and elected members with an interest in road safety issues.
Evening reception (17.00 – 19.00)
The conference will be followed by an evening reception which conference delegates are also invited to attend. The delegate fee (below) includes the drinks and canapés reception which will include an address by James Cracknell, LRSC President.
Built between 1411 and 1440, Guildhall was designed to reflect the importance of London’s ruling elite; today its splendour is still awe-inspiring.
The combination of history and tradition with the very latest state-of-the-art built-in communication technology helps ensure that events are effective and smooth-running.
The delegate fees will be £95 for attendees from the public and third sectors and academia, and £145 for others (both prices plus VAT). The delegate fee includes the drinks and canapés reception.
